When I moved into London with my human, people kept telling us that it wasn’t a place for dogs, that dogs should stay in the country and out of the city. We thought they were all wrong so we came to London anyway and I met LOADS of doggy friends! We all talked about how the country people thought that city dogs are the unfortunate ones, and how wrong they all were. We decided that we should set up a club so that we could all go out to walk and play together- we called it City Pups!
We needed a human to be in charge of the club, so I asked mine (he’s called Tom) if he would do it. Thankfully he said yes- phew! The word soon spread about City Pups as we all howled it from the rooftops, and soon all the dogs in London wanted to be a part of our club. We needed a way for the humans to find out about City Pups so I asked Tom to set up this website thing for the humans to read. I think it’s quite nice so I hope you do to!
Tom has grown up loving dogs and worked for Lancashire Police as an assistant police dog handler! He moved down to London with his girlfriend (Kim) who is a primary school teacher. Instead of transferring to the Met, he decided to set up something fun on his own- so here we are!
Tom works really hard to help me run City Pups. He picks my friends up from their houses and takes them out to play with us in the parks. He always looks after them really, really well and makes sure they get home safely once we are all tired out.
Any dog can be a City Pup, from Yorkshire Terriers to Great Danes- and as long as you can keep up with us you can join at any age!
So, if you want to be a City Pup, get your human to ring or email Tom and you can come and play with us!
Lots of love,
